01 — THE CHALLENGE

The Challenge

While the general layout worked, the existing bathroom suffered from hidden issues that affected performance and usability. Hot water pipework feeding the property below ran above the floor joists, reducing pressure and limiting design flexibility. Outdated services, bulky casings, and poor lighting further compromised the space.

The challenge was to resolve these technical constraints, modernise the bathroom, and introduce bespoke storage and refined detailing — all while working within the original footprint.

02 — OUR APPROACH

Our Approach

Plumbing & Services

Existing pipework was carefully assessed, upgraded, and rerouted to improve water pressure and accommodate a freestanding bath, with all services neatly concealed for a clean final finish.

Structural Preparation

Walls and floors were opened up, repaired, and prepared to support new fixtures and finishes, including additional structural support for towel rails, cabinetry, and wall-mounted fittings.

Ceiling & Electrical

A new lowered ceiling was constructed to conceal the existing textured surface and house integrated LED spotlights, while electrical services were upgraded to improve lighting and usability.

Bespoke Carpentry

Custom-built cabinetry and wall panelling were installed to maximise storage, conceal services, and introduce architectural detailing that elevates the overall bathroom design.

03 — THE RESULT

The Result

The finished bathroom is calm, elegant, and highly functional. The freestanding bath becomes a focal point, supported by improved water pressure and concealed plumbing. Bespoke cabinetry and wall panelling add depth and character, while the lowered ceiling and layered lighting create a warm, balanced atmosphere.

Careful detailing – from carpentry lines to fixture placement – ensures the space feels considered and cohesive. All systems were fully tested on completion, delivering a bathroom that not only looks refined but performs reliably day to day.
